For instance, you can check out Facebook groups in your niche and find out what most people are asking then come up a solution.
- Time
It takes time. I know we are all busy but am sure you can spare an hour or two to work on your blog.
For your blog to grow to a point of having any sort of income it takes times and lots of hard work.
- Post consistently
You need to post often.Write informative posts.
Come up with a content calender, which will help you organized. You don’t have to post on a daily basis
Find out what works well for you, whether it’s twice per week, weekly whatever it is stick to it.

Lets dive into it:
1.Affiliate marketing
This is the easiest way to make your first $200 blogging.
Why?
Affiliate marketing doesn’t require thousands of page views.
Affiliate marketing is simply promoting someone else’s product and if you make a successful sale through your unique link then you earn a commission.
When I started blogging I read so many income reports and most bloggers even small ones do make money through affiliates marketing.
It can be a little overwhelming when you are just starting out but all it requires is for you to grasp the basics.
A simplified guide on how to leverage the power of affiliate marketing.
- Review
Write a detailed review of the product you want to promote. This is why it’s easy to promote products you have already used or you love because the review will just flow.
Every time you are writing a review, you need to be honest. Ask yourself, would I sell this product or service to my mom or my sister?
80% of people look for reviews before making that last decision on whether to or not to make a purchase especially if the product is a bit pricey.
Share your story.
People want to read your experience. Tell people why you purchased the product and how it has helped you. Don’t neglect the cons if there are any.
Check out this review I did of Blog by Course number which an ebook by Suzi. I did a thorough job and it has paid off. A few days after writing and promoting the post I made a few sales and still am.
One can tell if you are passionate and honest about the product you are promoting from your writing. Build trust with your readers.
- Tutorial
People are busy and they are always looking for ways to simplify their lives. Tutorials are there for that, to make life easier.
They provide a quick solution. Have you ever wanted to buy a product but didn’t know how to use it?
That is where tutorials come in handy. Your tutorials should be in-depth.
For instance, check out the tutorial I wrote on how to start a profitable blog.
- Resource page
This is a page where you list all your favorite products and services. You can briefly explain why you love and use the product.
It goes without saying that you will have the page linked on your navigation bar so that people are able to see it.
If you have any blog posts about the product link to it. Check out mine here to have a clear picture of what I mean.
- Side Bar
You can have a banner of the product you are promoting on the sidebar of your blog.
This works for some and for others it doesn’t. It’s a matter of doing a little trial.
If you join an affiliate program especially for an ebook or a course some come with their own graphics but I prefer creating my own graphics because it adds that personal touch and it’s unique.
I use Canva for all my graphics.
Once you create the graphics you can place them on the sidebar and link to the affiliate post or straight to the product but the post converts better.
- Show how you use the product
This works like a charm for fashion and food bloggers. For instance, if you are promoting a pair of denim jeans you can create a video showing different ways to style a pair of jeans.
We live in a visual world you need high is quality videos and pictures to be able to entice your readers.
One of the most common affiliate programs that most bloggers join is Amazon. The reason why most bloggers love amazon affiliate program is that when a person clicks on your link and buys anything within the next 24 hours you earn a commission which doesn’t have to come from what you recommended.

2.How to make your first $200 blogging with ADS
I strongly feel I should rule ads out from this post. Reason being for you to make any decent amount from ads your page views need to be high.
If you still want to give ads a go, you can try AdSense, medianet or even sorvn.
Once you have ads installed place them on your homepage and your most popular blog post like twice. Don’t overdo it.
I personally don’t have ads on my site at the moment am waiting for my pageviews to pick up a bit more.
3.Offering services
You can use your blog as an online resume.
Some of the services you can offer are web designing, ghostwriting, freelancing, blog audits, Virtual assistance for example if you are really good with Pinterest or Facebook then you can manage someone’s account.
Create a hire me page where anyone interested in your services can read all about it.Include a way for them to reach you. After they have contacted you, go ahead explain more and send them your media kit.
For your services to do well, you need to build trust with your readers.
4.Sponsored posts/links
This is not so common with new blogs with less pageviews but it does happen so you can’t just dismiss it. A company can approach you for a product review on your blog.
In some cases, the company will ask for your page views. If you are on social media some will ask for the number of followers on those platforms.
Some companies will reach to you to simply place a link on your post. Which is awesome because it’s minimal work but you have to make sure that it will appear natural .
Some of the companies you can join for sponsored post are:
Activate by bloglovin
Social fabric
Tap influence
Am planning on writing a whole post on how bloggers can money through sponsored posts so watch out for that.
5.Private ad sale
This is where you sell an ad space to a company on your blog. Mainly on the sidebar or even in the header section.
6.Write your own eBook
This is the most lucrative way bloggers make money online. It takes time but it’s worthwhile so it might be something you want to consider. The good thing is that you don’t even require so many pageviews to create your own product.
You can start with a mini eBook to test things out.Price it may be between $0 to $20 first, then if it does well you can turn it into a course and increase the price too.
If you are looking for an eBook idea, you can do a survey poll on a Facebook group. Make sure the group owner is ok with it. Also, evaluate the questions that your readers are always asking or which posts are doing really well on your blog.
Do the same thing with your blog posts, if out what your readers are struggling with then provide for them a solution in form of an eBook.
If you need help in creating your first eBook, enroll in EBook by Number
Ebook by number is by Suzi from startamomblog.I love her blogging journey. She is so inspiring. She was able to grow her blog from $0 to $20,000 per month in just over a year.
She has made over $33,000 in the past year ,so you can be sure she own what she is talking about.
In the Ebook by number she will teach you step by step how you can do the same too.
She will help you come up with the perfect ebook idea, write, design and launch it.

Combine more than one income stream
If you need to have a passive income from your blog try and diversify your income streams. You can combine affiliate marketing with ads or sponsored post with affiliate marketing. If whatever works for you and put more time and work into it.
