1. Social Media
Apart from your email list, social media platforms can be a nice way to connect with your readers.
All you have to do is find out where your tribe is. Where do most people in your niche hang out in?
For example, Instagram is a perfect platform for fashion and lifestyle bloggers.
Facebook is perfect for mom bloggers.
After you have that figured out, you then share your opt-in. In social media, you need to share more than once so as to increase the chances of your followers catching your post.
If you are lucky enough to an influencer in your niche you can request them for a shout out.
2.Create a Private library of free resources.
This works like a charm.This will help you grow an email list fast .Like weeeed.
I have read so many bloggers say how this little trick has gotten them hundreds and hundreds of subscribers.
This is where you put all your freebies on one page and for your readers to access it they will need a password.
Which means they will have to sign up to your email list first and who doesn’t love free stuff?
You need to offer more for it to be more appealing.

3.Create an irrestiable freebie or a content upgrade.
As discussed in my previous post a freebie is an incentive that you offer your readers in exchange for their email addresses.
Something valuable.
This is also known as an opt-in, freebie or a lead magnet. At first, before you figure out what your most converting freebie will be, you will need to experiment a lot.
If your sign up form reads something like, sign up to latest blog post straight to your inbox” you will have barely any one subscribe. That isn’t enticing enough.
A freebie can be in different forms such as:
- Checklist
- Cheatsheet
- Mini ebook
- Mini-course
- Worksheet
- printables

In this freebie, I offer the best tips and tricks to help you understand and master SEO. SEO is a big topic in the blogging world and most people are always looking for ways to optimize their blog posts.
How to start a profitable blog email course-landing page.
This is an 8-day email course where I show my readers how to start a successful blog from scratch.
You can add content upgrades to your posts when relevant.After you write a captivating and well-detailed post then offer something else which is an addition to that post to your readers.Chances are they will be eager to learn more from you.
You can place the subscribe form with the post and at the end of the post.The more time they see the form the higher the chances of them subscribing.
Spend some time and see which content your readers seems to like on your blog. Which post has received many shares or even comments? That will help you brainstorm on the right freebie to create for your audience.
A simple trick you can do is play around with the words on your call to action buttons. Change the default wording on the subscribe button from “subscribe” to Give it to me! Yes, please! I want in!
Change it to something compelling.
4. User-friendly and reliable email provider.
There are so many email providers out there. Such as Mailchimp, Mailerlite, convertkit. You should be able to easily create sign up forms or even landing pages using your email provider.
Some are free up to a certain number of subscribers and some aren’t.
I use and love convertkit. I think almost 60% of bloggers out there are with them.
Perfect for non- techy savvy bloggers.
Convertkit isn’t free, however, my readers get a free trial through my link. The beauty of the free trial is that you get to take it for a test drive, get to see how all the features work.
5.Grow an email list fast by promoting your freebie and your blog.
For you to grow an email list fast you need more eyes on your blog and specifically on your freebie.
I love Pinterest for this.
You simply make pins directing people to your landing pages or to the posts with the content upgrade and you circulate them in different group boards.
I use canva for making my graphics.
You can manually pin or use a scheduler.
I do both because it’s impossible for me to be online through the day.
I use tailwind as my scheduling and I can guarantee you it has made my life easy. I schedule like 40 pins through tailwind and the rest I pin manually.

Improve your SEO with a free ebook.
You can also explore Facebook ads. I haven’t tried the ads on my blog but I do run ads for my shoe business which works very well for me. You need to be careful. You can start with a few dollars until you understand how it works.

6.Make it easy for people to sign up
People are busy, they don’t have all the time to fill in lots of questions for their subscription to go through.
Make it simple.
That’s another reason why I love convertkit, they sign up are so simple and in under 5 minutes, you are able to set one.
Again your readers don’t have the time to scroll up and down checking to see if they will. Make your opt-in easily accessible and more visible.
The more people see your opt-in the more convinced they are.You need to place them in multiple places. Check this post where I have clearly outlined different places you can place your sign up forms.
Make your forms stand out. Make use of different fonts, colors and backgrounds.
7.Run a giveaway or a fun contest
People love free things and especially if what you are offering is captivating then they will easily give you their email addresses.
8.Webinar
For you to register for any webinar you need to enter your email address which will also help you to receive confirmation and any reminders.
9.Grow an email list fast by Guest posting on other blogs
Guest posting is a perfect way to not only increase your blog traffic to also grow your email list.
When writing your bio, link to your freebie in your post to the landing page.
